Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans. I was once told this but didn't understand it until recently. I think it means that as hard as you work life is still occuring. We are constantly waiting for the right job, the right guy, the right home and still Life goes on. Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are gonna get. All these famous American adages are true albeit leaves things open to interpretation. The way I see life is this: you do the best you can with the best you've got. I mean, let's face it. You cannot please everyone and trying to do so is futile. So make sure you are pleasing to God, your mother, and yourself. Its the only way to find true happiness. My monthly/quarterly advice to you is this...Be yourself! and whatever you do, strive to do it well then you will REALLY know what it mans to be successful. [Read Desiderata (link is below)] I have so much more I would like to say about love and life and cultivation of one's spirit but I do not want to bore you all. Just... live love, be yourself...be free!

I was going to erase the above message but I liked it too much. As for what is going on with me...Well...I am off galavanting in other countries and having a blast. I spent two days in London and it is amazing how much I've learned. I gues I always had this notion that London would always be the same and I could always count on that as my "home away from home." I was half right. A lot of people remembered me and it was nice but it was also very enlightening. A lot of the places I would visit were no longer there being replaced with more commerical establishments. I ran into Adriano (Who can charm me without even trying.) He was excited to see me but we only saw each other in passing. I visited BUNAC where Jackie and Neil seemed excited to see me. JAckie gave me a big hug, an alarm clock and the names of a few hostels in Prague. I found it funny that she didn't remember my friend Matt as he was the one who introduced me to her HA! :) Then we went on to a bar that used to be called the Firkin (now the Albany) on great portland street and visited with Virginia and Denise (who were both with us in London last time too) and my new friend Marco. We had a few laughs but as matt and I discussed later, it made us feel kinda old. It is amazing how you can see changes in yourself through your friends. It was really nice to catch up though. Matt somehow convinced me to leave London to go to the ridulously expensive Hogmanay in Edinburgh. It was a lovely time and one I soon will not forget. We bought kilts (and Matt, I do admit to it being MY idea! :P ) And we pulled off the local look well. However, I flashed more people than I think I should admit. lol I also learned that girls (read: drunken messes who are of the female gender) are not as good of kissers as guys as I kissed 17+ of them. Then again, I didn't kiss any Scottish guys so maybe it is their species. hehe :) In my drunken mess, I arose 5 hours after I went to bed to hop the train to London then a plane to Prague. As I was riding the train to london I htought to myself "Oh my god, I still have the kilt on! The faces in London were humorous but I think people in Prague didn't understand what I was doing as the customs guy even said, "You must be American. Did you go up to London for New Years or something?" haha go figure. :) After two hotels, I found a place that seems like a home. It is about 65USD a night but thats not too bad considering it is right in city centre. I asked a few people about L'Enfant de Prague but not too many people know what I mean. English is spoken as Spanish is in our area. The food is um...interesting. I don't know what I ate for breakfast but it was reminiscent of a hoagie in a bowl. I had a sandwich of raw tuna, hardboiled egg, letteuce and onion for lunch (which to my surprise was actually pretty yum!) Classes start tomirriw so time will tell how things go. Keep me in your prayers and wish me luck. :) I am in the hard rock cafe writing this. IF anyone collects that shiznick let me know. Leave me a message in my guestbook if you need me.
